In fact, when the main characters decided to take their relationship to the next level (aka actually exists lol) I was caught off guard - it had barely been developed but okay I guess they’re there now. Nothing exciting happens, nothing bad happens, nothing funny happens, nothing that happy even really happens lol and the romance is just as shallow. It’s like a kid planned it out where “she’ll be super strong and her summons will be super strong and cute and she’ll be able to solve anything because she’s nice and the strongest guy in the world will love her and do anything for her” and then writes out that happening but in no more detail than that.īasically there are no strong feelings whatsoever in this story so reading is more just read read read okay next chapter read read read. The way everything plays out, with the characters having only very shallow thoughts and emotions, makes me feel like I’m reading an elementary school book where everything is simplified and could be summarized in a sentence. Expect no character development or growth aside from right after she gets reincarnated and isn’t someone’s puppet. Since this is the case, there are also no challenges or problems for her to struggle to overcome and grow from. The female lead is actually the most powerful person in the country (probably the world) and she can do no wrong in this story basically. I don't recommend, and I don't understand the high ratings and praise. Even if you're looking for fluff, there are other stories out there with more heartfelt and cute scenes. I find characters like this flat, and therefore the plot drags because you know her plan will always work without a twist, and people will always be on her side. She doesn't even get revenge on those who wronged her! She just chooses to not interact with them and let them ruin themselves all on their own. Also, every plan she makes always works without any unintended consequences, everything she puts her mind to comes to fruition, and everyone loves her.

In an oversaturated genre, this manhwa is just another drop in the bucket, with your classic stoic, black haired, misunderstood ML who had an abusive childhood, and the generous FL who is always considerate, makes the most ethical choices, and considers everyone's feelings. If you want a real revenge story, read the Villainess Reverses the Hourglass, because this ain't it folks. I'll give it a five, unless someone could give me reason(s) as to why this work is good. Not to mention that there are a lot of unnecessary, prolonged drama between the four main characters, that doesn't contribute anything more to the depth of their relationship. I think the FL is the only one who's "sane" in this manhwa, since she think marriage seriously and didn't want to rush it.

Why not getting married as fast as you can?" I really hate this simplistic logic of marriage in every manga and manhwa. "He's handsome and you're not bad yourself. The way the relationship was brought was really superficial. Or anything from his relationship with the FL that charmed me. There's no depth in him that charmed me as a reader. Yes, the male lead is charming: CEO of a big corporation, handsome, and sexy. However, I'm disappointed that the story isn't as good as the hype. Many people were a fan of Kang Tae Mu, and there were a lot of requests to adapt this to K-Drama. I started reading this a while ago because many people always mentioning TOBD (It has huge fanbase, at least from what I see from every Kakaopage's comment section). Last updated on September 13th, 2021, 7:16pm While the story felt dragged in certain parts, I did have a good laugh at times because of how funny it was. However, all of this did not mean I didn't enjoy the story. Though he was just a minor supporting character I was sad when I realized that the one he liked didn't like him back. It is also such a pity that my favorite character in this manhwa, Hari's younger brother Hamin, did not get his happy ending. And having the female lead gush over the male lead saying things like "omg he's hot" and "he's so handsome" made it seem as though she was just a fan obsessed with her idol rather than a romantic relationship between two people.
